Ganjukjeong

Ganjukjeong is located at the immediate left site from Jukjeong Seowon. Park, Seong Geun was living at this location after leaving his position as Jangsu Hyeongam. The architecture was established in 1479 and used to study, develop students and to hold meetings.
Through repairs for three times in 1571, 1768 and 1899, the current architecture composed of three rooms at the front and two rooms at the side along with Pajak type roof was completed in 1970.

In this gazebo, 6 poems from "Guemseongbyolgok" written by Park, Seong Guen, a famous Gyeonggi style writer in Korean literaturary history are displayed in forms of plates along with "Ganjukjeonggi" and "Ganjukjeongjunsugi". The scenery from the gazebo shows the giant appearance of Wolchul Mountain in far distance and the small stream running right in front of the building to be beautiful enough to think several lines of a poem. This place is recommended to have an occasion for personal consideration spending sufficient times quietly.
